SchoolSitePro
  1. What is SchoolSitePro?
SchoolSitePro is a Web-based content management software package which has been specifically developed to help schools update their Web sites.

  2. What operating system is required to run SchoolSitePro?
Because SchoolSitePro runs on Educational Networks' servers, it is accessible using any Web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Netscape, or Mozilla Firefox. In other words, you can use SchoolSitePro with any computer that is connected to the Web, without having to depend on any specific operating system.

  3. What if I need help?
If you have any questions about using SchoolSitePro, or if you feel there are any problems, you can call our technical support department toll-free at (866) 493-0800, fax us at (212) 269-1446, or send us email.

  4. How much of the content on our Web site can we maintain using SchoolSitePro?
SchoolSitePro Web sites have two types of information: dynamic and static. Dynamic sections, which make up about 90% of the school's Web site, contain information that is updated on a regular basis, such as the Events Calendar, News and Announcements, lists of classes, etc. These sections are easily updated by school staff using SchoolSitePro. Static sections, such as the Mission Statement or History of the School, make up only about 10% of the school's site and do not have to be updated often. They are maintained by Educational Networks' technical support team. If any changes are necessary, you can contact the team via phone or e-mail. Almost all changes can be made on the same business day.

  5. Security is a big concern to us. We want to have total control over our Web site. How secure is SchoolSitePro?
SchoolSitePro is only accessible through password-protected user accounts. In order to give you the most control possible, we offer several levels of access rights to your site. The main account (also called a super-user account) is the first created, and is usually controlled by the school's technology director and/or principal. The owner(s) of this account can then create any number of individual accounts for other staff members. Each account can be assigned access rights to different sections of the site. For example, you can give one staff member responsibility for the Alumni section, while individual teachers could have access to their own Homework areas.

  6. How many user accounts can we create for SchoolSitePro?
There is no limit to the number of user accounts that can be created. We suggest that every school administrator and teacher should have his or her own account. School administrators, technology directors, and Web-team leaders need their own accounts so that they can update the general sections on the site, such as News, Events, Bulletin Board, etc. Teachers need accounts to be able to post their homework assignments. It all depends on how you decide to organize your school's Web site and how you choose to delegate staff responsibilities.

  7. How much does it cost to use SchoolSitePro?
SchoolSitePro charges an annual subscription rate, which includes the design and installation of your Web site, a two-hour training course for your staff, year-round phone training sessions, 24-hour technical support, and updates to static sections (usually within a day of the request). There are absolutely no extra costs -- everything is included. Please feel free to contact us for further information.
